DJ Profile: Dave O Rama

Dave O Rama is originally from the city of Toronto Canada but relocated to the west coast of Canada almost twenty years ago. He lives a rural lifestyle on a Gulf Island situated between Canada’s west coast and Vancouver Island. This requires Dave O to take a ferry boat every Saturday evening to Vancouver Island to produce his radio show, The Lovecast, which broadcasts from CHLY 101.7 FM Nanaimo BC to the west coast of Canada, southern Vancouver Island and upper Washington State.

A voracious music addict Dave O has been producing radio music programs for decades, both in his home town of Toronto and on Canada’s west coast. He has produced and hosted programming for CHLY FM, CIUT FM and CFNY FM. The Lovecast is a Saturday evening program focusing on groove based music, international and outernational sounds. The Lovecast is a highly eclectic sonic masala that Dave O likes to refer to as schizophonic. Every show is a mixed bag of sonic delights with each installment possessing a clearly unique musical identity.

Dave O Rama has been producing The Lovecast since 2002. The program is currently in its tenth year on the air.
